UN Military Observation Group in Iran and Iraq (UNIIMOG), this service medal is awarded for 90 days service. This Mission commenced in August 1988. Its purpose to verify, confirm and supervise the cease-fire and withdrawal of all forces to the internationally recognized boundaries agreed to between Iran and Iraq.
