The King's South Africa Medal is a British campaign medal which was awarded to all British and Colonial military personnel who served in the Second Boer War in South Africa, who were in the theatre on or after 1 January 1902 and who had completed 18 months service in the conflict prior to 1 June 1902. Up to two (2) clasps were issued: South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902.
Queen Victoria’s died during the course of the Second Boer War and King Edward VII authorised a medal to be awarded to all who were serving in South Africa on or after 1 January 1902, and who would complete 18 months service before 1 June 1902. The medal was never issued separately, but always with the Queen's South Africa Medal.
The price shown is for the medal only with a 150mm standard length of ribbon. Clasp requirements need to be specified at time of order and an additional to be specified charge applies for these and medal mounting which includes the fitting of a brooch bar pin.
