Allan is an artist living in Upper Hutt. He was born in Invercargill in 1933 and from a very young age has had a passion and interest in pen and wash and pencil drawing. At the age of 17 years of age, Alan had three (3) pencil drawings accepted for exhibition at the National Academy. two (2) were subsequently sold. 
Art was subsequently put on the backburner for many years as he pursued other interests.

It was not until 1992 that Allan resumed doing art work and at that time ventured into trying his hand at acrylic painting. Combined with pencil art he also tried his hand at using pastels.

As a renowned pencil drawer, Allan has completed work for magazines and also completed colour illustrations for a children's book and pet portraits. Commissions are welcome, please use the Contact Us form.
